About the design
DAZZ Ring — Asscher
One marquise leans into the center stone from each side, across the width of the band — the house setting, the DAZZ signature.
The center diamond, between two marquises across the band, 0.4 ct together — lab-grown or natural, your choice — comes with an international gemological certificate: IGI for a lab-grown diamond, GIA for a natural one. The ring is made to order, in 14K gold — white, yellow or rose.
The cut in this design
The Asscher in the DAZZ Ring
The Asscher is a square step cut. Cut corners, and steps that lead into the center like mirrors facing each other. A depth that draws the eye inward. Pure Art Deco. Like the emerald, it reveals everything inside the stone, which is why every diamond here is VS or better. An Asscher looks slightly smaller than its weight, because the weight sits in the depth.
In the DAZZ Ring two marquises lean toward the Asscher, one on each side, across the band. The marquises add length and width to the Asscher, and the three stones read as one line. The setting here differs from the rest of the collection. Instead of claws, four flat, triangular prongs fold over the stone like tabs, on a tapered head. The marquises are V-set, held at their two points only, with their sides open.
- What is the difference between an Asscher and an emerald cut?
- Both are step cuts. The emerald is elongated. The Asscher is square and deep, with steps that lead into the center.
- Who is the Asscher right for?
- Anyone who loves Art Deco, and a quiet, deep stone rather than sparkle. You see the stone before it is made.
- Why marquises beside an Asscher?
- Because the marquise leans toward another stone without competing with it. Its point aims at the Asscher, and its line continues the line of the center stone across the finger. It is the house's setting.
