About the design
DAZZ Ring — Pear
One marquise leans into the center stone from each side, across the width of the band — the house setting, the DAZZ signature.
The center diamond, between two marquises across the band, 0.4 ct together — lab-grown or natural, your choice — comes with an international gemological certificate: IGI for a lab-grown diamond, GIA for a natural one. The ring is made to order, in 14K gold — white, yellow or rose.
The cut in this design
The Pear in the DAZZ Ring
The pear is half round and half marquise. One end rounded, one end pointed, and a line between them that leads gently toward the hand. It lengthens the finger like the oval, and adds direction. In a ring, the point faces the hand. Always. It is also the pear's sensitive spot, and it gets a prong of its own. Full, rounded shoulders and as little bow-tie as possible. That is how the house chooses a pear.
In the DAZZ Ring two marquises lean toward the pear, one on each side, across the band. The marquises continue the line of the pear from its rounded end to its point, and the ring reads as one line of three stones. The setting here differs from the rest of the collection. Instead of claws, two flat, triangular prongs fold over the shoulders of the stone like tabs, with a V-prong at its point, on a tapered head. The marquises are V-set, held at their two points only, with their sides open.
- Which way is a pear worn?
- Toward the hand. Every pear ring is made that way.
- Can the point of a pear break?
- The point gets a prong of its own, and the setting is covered by our lifetime manufacturer warranty. You see the stone before it is made.
- Why marquises beside a pear?
- Because the marquise leans toward another stone without competing with it. Its point aims at the pear, and its line continues the line of the center stone across the finger. It is the house's setting.
